What a great time we had Easter weekend! Our friends, the Pence family, drove from Tennessee on friday and stayed until Monday to celebrate Easter with us. It was so fun to spend time together. On Friday, we dyed Easter eggs, made a craft and treat then headed to the park for dinner. Matt, Suzette, and I stayed up late having fun playing the Wii. On Saturday morning we headed to the church for a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt. It was a little crazy but still fun. On saturday afternoon we were able to watch General Conference--what wonderful messages were shared. After playing together all afternoon, Kelsey got all 5 kids together and they each wrote a letter to leave for the Easter Bunny. They also left out a few carrots with ranch dressing, water and napkins. They were sure the Easter Bunny would appreciate the carrots since he was sure to get hungry hiding all those eggs (this is SO Kelsey...). On Sunday, the kids woke up early excited about what the Easter bunny had brought. They each found their baskets quickly and were happy with their treasures, then it was off to hunt for the eggs. They found about 120 eggs, each filled with candy. We were able to watch some of General Conference again--it was a nice way to spend Easter Sunday. After Conference we had a delicious turkey dinner and the kids played and played until it was time to go to bed. It was like old times. We LOVED having the Pence's spend the weekend with us--it was great!!!
