The kids and I had a great time during Spring Break this year. We were able to enjoy a few fun activities during their 10 day break. Lucky for them, the Easter Bunny brought them Movie Theater gift cards in their Easter baskets and put quarters in the easter eggs--he must have known they had Spring Break and needed something to do!
The day after Easter, we went to Adventure Landing and played mini golf . Then the kids used their quarters from the Easter Bunny to play the arcade games. Between the three of them they earned about 1100 tickets! Kelsey got the jackpot twice and Connor got the jackpot once on one of the games. They have never won that many tickets before, so they were pretty excited. They were each able to leave with several small prizes. They were very happy kids.
The next day, the kids wanted to use their Movie Theater Gift cards. We decided to see Oz The Great and the Powerful. It was a great show and we really enjoyed it. You should go see it.
Our big activity for the week was a trip to the NC Zoo. We drove to Asheboro in the morning and spent the whole day there checking out giraffes, elephants, zebras, gorillas, bears, snakes, birds, sea lions, alligators, and many other animals. It was perfect weather too, which made it even more enjoyable. It was so nice to have the kids home for a few days and do some fun things together!
