On Saturday, February 18th, Connor was baptized. He is now an official member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are so proud of Connor and his decision to be baptized. He is a wonderful boy and a good example of faith to those around him.
It turned out to be a beautiful day. Both sets of Grandparents were able to be there with us and each of the kids from Connor's Primary class and their families were there too. Grandpa Romney and Grandma Wardle each shared with Connor some thoughts about Baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. The talks were perfect and the spirit was very strong. Kelsey used her musical talent to play the prelude and interlude music, and Kelsey and I also played a piano duet as part of the program. She did a wonderful job with the music and she wasn't even nervous to play in front of everybody! Parker helped too--he was the little usher and he handed out the programs to those who attended. He did a great job. After the service, we enjoyed yummy refreshments and chatted with our friends and family. Later that evening we celebrated by going out to dinner with the Grandparents to Macaroni Grill. It was an exciting and memorable day.
Connor, choosing to be baptized is a very important step in your life. We are so proud of you and hope that you will always remember the special feelings you had when you were baptized and confirmed. We are so grateful that we were able to share your special day with you. We love you!
