Parker's Finally Walking!!!

At 21 months, Parker is finally really walking! He has been working on it for several weeks now, but he has been unsteady and unsure until the last couple of days. Now he is confident and determined! You can tell he is proud of himself as he walks across the room and giggles happily. This is a MAJOR accomplishment for Parker--with his low muscle tone and extra weight on his back from his IV backpack, walking is a lot harder for him than most kids. He has beat our goal that we set for him to be walking with his backpack by his 2nd birthday (April 30th). He has also been able to occasionally go without his oxygen during the day recently, which is wonderful! He is our little miracle--we are so proud of him. Way to go, Parker!!!

What a cutie! He's a doll! BTW, great job on the painting! I am always amazed at how much work painting actually is, but so worth it. My son, Daniel, had his tonsils out a few years ago and they actually sent them home in a baggy- groooosssss! I remember he had the worst breath ever for about three weeks. Hope Kelsey is doing well- I can't believe how much she looks like you!
