Cub Scout Family Campout

Over the weekend our family enjoyed an overnight camping trip at Camp Raven Knob. It was a Cub Scout family campout organized by Jason, who is the Cub Master for Connor's pack. All the boys and their families were able to attend.

 After we set up camp, Connor and Jason started a fire so we could cook hotdogs and s'mores. The kids enjoyed exploring and playing together.

The weather was nice during the day and evening, but it did get a little chilly while we were trying to sleep. Buuurrrrrrr!!!! 

Everybody was up early and ready to start the activities on Saturday morning. The Cub Scouts were taught some basic survival skills and then they learned the rules for using a pocket knife. They were then given a bar of soap to carve using their pocket knifes.

After lunch they went on a short hike around the lake. Then it was time to pack up and head home. It was a short trip, but it was a lot of fun spending time together with our family and friends.
