A Short Update

It's hard to believe that December is here! This year has just flown by. We have been busy the last few weeks. My parents came to visit for a whole week over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a great time, but we didn't get ANY pictures with them while they were here! But we did have fun shopping, eating good food, and playing games. We also took them to see the latest show Jason worked on, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which was so much fun. We really enjoyed it. Jason and I also got to go on a date to see the latest Harry Potter movie, which was AWESOME! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for watching the kids so we could enjoy a night out. We're so glad they were able to visit us for a week and we are so grateful for them and all they do for us. Last Friday, Jason, Kelsey, Connor and I went to see UNCSA's production of the Nutcraker. It was beautifully done, as usual. Parker was a little sad that he had to stay home with the nurse, but I don't think he would have made it through the entire performance. Maybe next year, Parker. Speaking of Parker, he had his routine cardiology visit yesterday with Dr. Williams. He is doing great! He now weighs 29 pounds and is 38 inches tall! Because he's had such a growth spurt (he's gained 3 pounds and grown 2 inches since June!!!), Dr. Williams said it was time to adjust some of his medications. Hopefully, he will do OK with the new doses. Parker's "wish trip" is coming up...in just a few short weeks we will be headed to Orlando on a train. We are SO excited!!! Parker received the "welcome packet" from Give Kids the World where we will be staying. We continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity of those making this trip possible. It is amazing! And last but not least, it SNOWED on Saturday! The kids were so excited to see snow so early in the season and spent most of the afternoon playing outside in it (even though there was hardly any and it was gone by the next morning). Kelsey said it was the best Saturday EVER!
