We have gone to Tanglewood Park to see the fireworks on the 4th of July for the past 7 years, but this year we decided we wanted to avoid the crowds and the late night and have our own 4th of July party at home. It didn't take much to convince the kids when "treats", "games" and "buy fireworks" were all included in the conversation! We had a great time eating good food, playing with water balloons, decorating sugar cookies, playing 4th of July bingo, the M&M game, and even a treasure hunt. Then we sat on the front porch (see picture above) as Jason lit the fireworks off one by one and the kids "ooohhhhed" "aaahhhhed" and clapped after every one. It was a great day spent together. The only thing missing was the rest of our family:( Speaking of which--we are going to be spending some time with our families soon! We are so excited that we are finally going to come to Utah for a visit (it's been almost 4 years) We will be flying to Utah July 21st and staying until July 31st! We can hardly wait!!!

Looks like you had a fun 4th of July party. We are glad to hear that you going to Utah to visit family, good luck we hope all the traveling goes well, are you all going together?
