Easter Fun!

We had a great weekend celebrating Easter and spending time together as a family. The Easter Bunny visited our house on Saturday morning (we have to leave by 8:30am for church on Sunday...) and the kids had a great time looking for eggs and eating lots and lots of candy!

Then we had a yummy breakfast--cinnamon rolls, sausage, scrambled eggs and hot chocolate before we went bowling (our dinner reward--see "Caterpillar" post). Kelsey and I tied with a whopping 94 points, Jason had 63 and Connor 43. Parker helped Jason and I with our turns, so our scores weren't really accurate. Parker loved pushing the balls down the lane, while Connor had no trouble "throwing" the ball down the lane--THUD!!! Kelsey was very excited to get the first strike.

Later, after relaxing at home for a while, we took our kites out for the first fly of the season. It was a great day to fly a kite--the kites both went up on the first try and stayed high in the sky until we were done. On Sunday, with the kids all dressed up and looking cuter and more handsome than ever, we went to church. It was wonderful to feel the spirit so strong and hear such beautiful music as we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On Sunday evening, we finally got to have our Christmas Eve dinner (see our December posts if you don't know what I'm talking about). We were all very excited to have glazed ham, augraten potatoes and strawberry cheesecake--it was delicious!!!
