14 Months Old!

14 Months Old
23 pounds 7.5 ounces

This 14 month old continues to keep us on our toes! He loves to get around and explore and is constantly into something. This month he discovered the kitchen and can be found in there opening and closing cupboards and drawers (as far as they'll go with the child-lock...), pulling things out of the computer desk, looking at his reflection in the dishwasher door, or pounding on the glass door. He is still just cruising and crawling, but he will walk while holding on to someone's hands--still no taking steps on his own...yet. I'm sure it won't be long. He can also stand now, but he will giggle and immediately sit down if he realizes he is actually doing it :)

He is doing well with milk and sippy cups other than we are still struggling with silent aspiration so we have to thicken all his liquids. He has had a wet cough for the last 4 weeks or so that we are pretty sure is related to either aspirating or reflux, so he will have another swallowing study done next week. 

This month he learned the actions to "Popcorn Popping" and how to fold his arms when we say a prayer (although he doesn't keep them folded--we're still working on that!). He loves to stand behind someone and try to push them over--he thinks this is hilarious and he will giggle and giggle. He also loves to be chased by someone saying, "I'm gonna get you!!!" We are so happy this little guy is part of our family. He brings a wonderful abundance of love and joy to our hearts everyday!
