Summer Officially Starts Now!!!

The school year ended today and summer is officially here!! The kids had a great year and each did so well. Looking back at the first of the year, it's amazing how much they have each changed:

First Day of 7th Grade

They each received some special awards this year:

Kelsey was invited to a Red Carpet event at Flat Rock Middle School (they even had the students walk down a red carpet) where she received 3 different awards. She was chosen as a "High Flier" (best overall grade in the class) for her Life Skills class,  a Citizenship award for Social Studies, and she was one out of two students from the whole 7th grade to have straight A's for two years in a row so she received a special plaque for that.

Connor received an award for "Perserverance" and a special medal and certificate for achieving the A/B Honor Roll all year long.

Parker received the "Superstar Attitude" from his classroom teacher and a Citizenship Award for his grade.

They each did their very best and we are so proud of their hard work and dedication to school.

Way to go, guys!!!

To celebrate the end of school we had a "Last Day of School Luau"!

We played limbo, tossed water balloons, and played with a beach ball. Then we ate Hawaiian sweet rolls with ham and cheese, chips, smoothies, and almond joy candy bars for dessert. Probably not really "Hawaiian", but as close as we could get and it sure was tasty!

We are all very excited for summer vacation and the break from the routine for a few months.
