Thunderous applause and shouts of praise have been heard a lot around the Romney house this past week. When your house goes to the potty like ours has, EVERYTHING revolves around the potty and every drop of pee that makes it into the potty by the potty trainee is a HUGE accomplishment that, of course, deserves recognition and rewards! We started potty training Parker last Saturday and so far, he is doing great. He is already wearing his big boy "choo-choo" pants (Thomas the Train underwear) because pull-ups just didn't work for him. Parker has probably gone potty 15 - 20 times every day since we started and he's only had a few accidents. The last couple of days we have been trying to get him to poop on the potty (he was trying really hard to NOT poop), but yesterday I finally got him on the potty at just the right moment and after a few minutes, he unenthusiastically said, "I did yuck." I ran in to check, and sure enough, he had finally pooped in the potty!!! We all clapped and praised and praised and clapped!!! We are so proud of Parker for learning to go potty and be a big boy!!!

The look on his face says it all! I bet he's so proud of himself too! Nothing like saying good bye to diapers! Congrats Mom!
Soon you will have a diaper free house! Hooray!
